The U18 Jazz Band was founded in 2017, with its five members averaging around 18 years old at the time. They are passionate about the intricate theory and free-spirited improvisation of jazz music. In addition to regular weekly practice sessions, the four members have performed live at various venues such as Lucia Jazz Café, Taipei Blues, and Red House International Village.

In 2019, they were selected as New Taipei City's Rising Stars of the Music Scene. Their powerful trumpet, bridge-building piano, and rhythmically precise bass and drums complement each other perfectly, creating a complete and beautiful jazz band sound.
