9m88 is an independent singer-songwriter from Taipei born in the 90s. Since her debut in 2016, she has released three studio albums, one jazz extended play, and numerous personal or collaboration singles, working in styles that include R & B, Neo-Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Pop, etc. A prolific artist, she is one of the few independent musicians that have also worked in drama, podcast hosting, fashion and visual arts.

9m88 has sold out concert after concert in Taiwan, and has also performed at international music festivals such as Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival in Hong Kong. Her concert held at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York also sold out.

People hear 9m88’s endearing honesty in her music. Her conviction of setting a goal and then going for it dauntlessly is demonstrated in “Aim High”, “Beyond Mediocrity” and ”Airplane Mode.”; while “Leftlovers”, “Friend Zone” and “Love Is So Cruel” are youthful diary entries about feeling lost in love. People especially appreciate how she turns “little people’s everyday life conditions” into the most mesmerizing tunes.

9m88 continues to shine on the music scene as an independent artist. Her first original studio album Beyond Mediocrity was released in 2019, and led to her nomination for the Golden Melody Award for Best New Artist as well as her winning the the Golden Indie Award for Best New Artist. Her songs “Airplane Mode”, ”If I Could” and “Aim High” were also nominated for the Golden Melody Award for Song of the Year and the Golden Indie Music Award for Best Jazz Song and Best R & B Song respectively.
