MODERN TOWER is composed of musicians passionate about cross-genre music. Although they primarily specialize in jazz, this ensemble will present a completely new musical style, blending elements of jazz, R&B, pop, electronic, and funk to create a unique listening experience, allowing the audience to dance to the beats and enjoy a variety of grooves.

Drummer: Feng-Yi Zhou

Feng-Yi Zhou is an endorser of Yamaha Drums and Zildjian Cymbals in Taiwan. He is appointed by the Yamaha Music and Education Foundation as the only honorary jazz drum examiner in Taiwan. As a professional drummer, Zhou plays in variety of styles ranging from R&B, fusion, and funk. He has also participated in major concerts and recording sessions across Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong and has served as a jury member for the Golden Melody Awards.

Pianist/Organist: Zeng-Yi Zeng

Zeng-Yi Zeng graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium, specializing in jazz piano. His debut album won him the Best Instrumental Album and Best Composer at the 25th Golden Melody Awards, and he was also nominated for Best Album Producer. He currently teaches in the Department of Applied Music at Tainan National University of the Arts and the Department of Music at Fu Jen Catholic University.

Guitarist: An-Wei Chiu

An-Wei Chiu graduated from the Musicians Institute in the United States, specializing in Gypsy Jazz, but he is also adept at playing pop, funk, and R&B. He works a professional guitarist for concerts and recording sessions across Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong, collaborating with numerous artists. He currently teaches in the Department of Pop Music Industry at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and is also a music producer.

Bassist: Wei-Chih Chang

Wei-Chih Chang graduated from Berklee College of Music in the United States. An all-around musician and innovative bassist, he has collaborated with Grammy Award winners Kirk Whalum and Jeff Lorber. While he specializes in jazz, he has also contributed to numerous Mandarin pop albums and large-scale concerts. His debut album was digitally released on Christmas 2019, and he is scheduled to release a new solo album in 2024.

Saxophonist: Sheng-Yu Su

A well-known saxophonist in Taiwan, Su began learning the saxophone at the age of 12. He graduated from the Jazz Music Department of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Belgium, specializing in jazz while also being skilled in various musical genres. In addition to jazz performances, he frequently crosses over to play in large-scale concerts for pop artists. His debut album, released in 2020, won the Best Instrumental Album at the Golden Melody Awards, and he was nominated for Best Composer the same year.
